Tuesday, February 11, 2020 Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang has held an audience with a number of private hospitals that are members of the Indonesian Private Hospital Association (ARSSI) organization Purwakarka Bekasi Karawang (Purwabeka) in the Rectorate Building Hall 3rd Floor. Karawang and also attended by the Head of the Karawang District Health Office.

This activity aims in addition to establishing cooperation so that students who graduate from the University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang can be absorbed by the job market engaged in the hospital sector.

According to Dedi, with the link and match concept, university graduates must be matched with the job market or users. Don’t let them only teach theory to students, while when they enter the world of work they don’t understand anything. “So universities don’t just look like ‘ivory towers’ that look good from the outside, but when alumni go out into the field (the world of work) they don’t know anything,” he said.

Responding to that, his party collaborated with a number of businesses or the world of work, one of which was implemented by inviting practitioners to become guest lecturers on campus. So that later students will not only get the theory, but how to implement the theory in the world of work. “Hopefully the collaboration with ARSSI will benefit the world of work in getting a professional workforce, while the campus will get inputs so that graduates can be absorbed by them,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Chairperson of ARSSI Purwabeka, Pundi Ferianto, admitted that he really appreciated the hearing with UBP Karawang. The reason is, ARSSI requires quality human resources and with the presence of UBP Karawang which will be followed up with an MoU, the need for quality human resources at ARSSI will be fulfilled. “The availability of quality human resources that we need as determined by KARS or regulated by the Minister of Health can be met by UBP Karawang. For example, at UBP, there is already a Faculty of Pharmacy whose pharmacist human resources will be needed later,” he said.

He hopes that, with future cooperation, UBP Karawang will grow by providing quality human resources and vice versa, of course, private hospitals need quality human resources from UBP Karawang. “With this collaboration, UBP will also provide new study programs that are needed by us as users, because it is unfortunate if we make study programs but the users are not absorbed,” he concluded.
