Saturday, December 28, 2019 Pharmacy Student Association, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang has carried out community service in Duren village, Klari sub-district, Karawang district. The activity, which started at 08.00 to 17.00, was attended by 100 local people consisting of pregnant women and mothers with toddlers.

With the theme “The movement of the public to be aware of stunting in Duren Village, Klari Sub-district”, this activity aims to provide understanding and education about stunting and how to prevent it for pregnant women because stunting is a condition that is poorly understood in the community about the type of disease.

According to Aeni Indriyati, one of the pharmacy students as well as the event committee, “I am happy because in this event I can go directly to the community to provide counseling about diseases that must be realized because sometimes people are embarrassed to say their child is stunting, they don’t even know that their child is stunting, so education or training is needed. socialization like this so that people are aware of the importance of nutritional intake during pregnancy and the first 100 days of life after the birth of a baby”.

Furthermore, Aeni also added, “Hopefully next year events like this can run again and hopefully the community can avoid stunting for the next generation”.
