1,304 Karawang UBP Students Held KKN 2020 Online

Thursday, July 29, 2020, LPPM Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang has carried out the 2020 Online KKN Release online on the official YouTube UBP Karawang. Although still facing the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, Universitas Buana Perjuangan (UBP) Karawang continues to carry out Real Work Lectures (KKN) in 108 villages in Karawang. It’s just that the implementation of the 2020 KKN this time is a little different because it is carried out online. A total of 1304 students participating in KKN are required to make a village profile as a basis for the Karawang Regency Government for further village development.
“KKN 2020 is still being held even though we all know that there is currently an outbreak of COVID-19. But this year’s KKN is different from previous years, because this time it was held online. Students do not create a post, do not make activities that invite people to gather, all of our activities are packaged online. We have prepared a system or application that supports this Online KKN activity,” said the Head of the 2020 KKN Universitas Buana Perjuangan (UBP), Hanny Hikmayanti, Monday (3/8/20).
According to Hanny, UBP Karawang held KKN in 2020 with the theme “KKN Online 2020 is Village Profiling for Sustainable Development Goals. It is hoped that with this year’s KKN activities students can help the government in making village profile studies as data for future village development needs.

“There are 1304 students participating in the Online KKN, with 16 sub-districts, 16 police stations, 108 targeted villages, and 143 supervisors involved. These participants will make a study of village profiles that will be used as a basis for development for the Karawang district government,” he said.
This year’s KKN involves collaboration with the local government agencies in the district. Karawang, namely the Village Community Empowerment Service (DPMD) and the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda). According to the DPMD, this KKN activity is very helpful in the process of fulfilling the Village Profile data. Bappeda also added, this village profile data as a foothold for regional development planning Karawang district.
