Social Service UBP KARAWANG CARE FOR 2021 Flood Disaster

Entering February 2021, floods hit several villages and sub-districts in Karawang Regency. Seeing the alarming impact of the Flood, the Chancellor of the University of Buana Perjuangan (UBP) Karawang through the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) initiated fundraising activities (donations) from the entire Academic Community of UBP Karawang in the form of UBP KARAWANG CARE activities to be able to collect and distribute The proceeds of the donation were given to residents of Karawang who were affected by the flood. This activity of UBP KARAWANG CARE is also an embodiment of the form of concern/compassion and social intelligence from the University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang to the people of Karawang who were affected by the flood disaster.

The proceeds from the collected donations began to be distributed to residents affected by the flood where on Friday 12 February 2021 Universitas Buana Perjuangan (UBP) Karawang conducted a social service to distribute aid to the community in the Karangligar area. In this activity, UBP Karawang carried out joint activities with the GA Karawang HRD Association and coordinated with the local Social Service. The distribution of donations from UBP KARAWANG PEDULI was attended by LPPM personnel, lecturers and also students from UBP Karawang.

Aang Solahuddin as the Head of UBP Karawang Community Service Center said, “We sent assistance, including cleaning tools that were needed for residents to clean their houses after the flood, medicines and basic necessities. We also in this activity coordinate with the HRD GA Karawang association in terms of logistics so that the assistance we distribute can be right on target and benefit people in need.”
