Pharmacy students get an Award in the 2020 Student Business Innovation Competition

Again, the students of the Pharmacy Study Program at the University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang won 3rd place in the 2020 Student Business Innovation Competition (KIBM 2020) in the Academic field. Activities carried out online or virtual (Via Zoom), carried out from the beginning of the KIBM socialization and workshop (June 22 to July 17, 2020), then registration and proposal submission (20 July – 19 August 2020) and ended with the KIBM Award activity on 3 December 2020. Participants who participated in this activity totaled 1,141 proposals from the three fields (academic, vocational, and disability) from various universities and 272 proposals that passed the selection and received funding assistance.

This activity is organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture through the National Achievement Center which aims to develop and increase the number of entrepreneurial students. One of them is by organizing the Merdeka Campus Entrepreneurship Program 2020. The Merdeka Campus Entrepreneurship Program is a program that aims to foster the entrepreneurial spirit and abilities of students in Indonesia to be able to compete globally by optimizing national potential.

According to Naufal, one of the participants from the Pharmacy study program who took part in the activity, “The categories that we participate in are KIBM in the academic field aimed at increasing student business product/service innovation, student business development, increasing income and added value for student businesses and the recognition of intellectual property rights issued by Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia for those who have potential”.

Then Naufal also added “I myself feel very happy to be able to join the KIBM program because with our passing in this KIBM program our business has grown and we have learned a lot and gained extraordinary knowledge that we did not get on campus. My message to other friends is that we (UBePe Kreatif Mandiri) hope to be a motivation for friends so that friends can continue to work and innovate and can bring positive changes to our campus”.

“I would like to thank especially my supervisor, Mr. Apt. Farhamzah S.Si., M.T.I who always gives us direction so that we can get the KIBM Award, then I also say a lot of thanks to the lecturers and fellow students who always support and pray for us”.
