Buana Perjuangan University Karawang Students Donate PPE for 27 Health Centers

Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Buana Perjuangan (UBP) Karawang donated personal protective equipment (PPE) and medical masks to 27 health centers in Karawang Regency. In addition, students also provided masks, hand sanitizer and basic necessities to hundreds of MSMEs affected by Covid-19. The assistance provided by UBP students is from the results of fundraising for 15 days.

“This is the result of donations from students and lecturers and student organizations that collected IDR 25 million for two weeks. We provide this assistance to assist local governments in fighting the spread of COVID-19 in Karawang. We prioritize this assistance for medical personnel who are currently struggling to help Covid-19 patients to get well soon. In addition, the MSME sector affected by COVID-19 is our concern,” said Head of the Student Legislative Body (BLM) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Buana Perjuangan, Adi Ramdan, Tuesday (21/4/2020) .

According to Adi Ramdan, the assistance of personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided for medical officers at every puskesmas. A total of 27 Public Health Centers in Karawang received PPE from UBP students so that they no longer had difficulties with the procurement of PPE. “The results of our field monitoring of PPE problems have become complaints from medical officers while on duty. We provide this assistance to reduce PPE problems in every health center,” he said.
