Referring to the government’s appeal regarding efforts to prevent the spread of the corona virus, the University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang will conduct the Mid-Semester Examination online using the web http://elearning.ubpkarawang.ac.id/. According to Bayu Priyatna, M.Kom, One of UBP Karawang’s Lecturers “Online lectures during the COVID-19 virus pandemic were felt to be very helpful for Lecturers / teaching staff and also students, especially the e-learning facilities prepared by the UBP Karawang campus, although relatively new, in terms of implementation and Most of the lecturers and students can feel its benefits, especially during the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS)”. According to Bayu Priyatna, M.Kom, one of the lecturers at UBP Karawang, “Online lectures during the COVID-19 virus pandemic are very helpful for lecturers/staff lecturers and students, especially the e-learning facilities provided by the UBP Karawang campus, although relatively new, in terms of implementation and benefits, most of the lecturers and students can feel it, especially during the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS)”.\

According to Zenal Abidin, a student of UBP Karawang’s Informatics Engineering study program, “Online lectures at UBP are carried out quite effectively and with comprehensive e-learning website media. Most learning systems are not much different from conventional or face-to-face systems. In this online, lecturers also actively provide lecture material through video conferencing. we can also fill in attendance and download materials, do assignments and collect assignments given by lecturers. Overall, UBP’s e-learning system called BOC has facilitated teaching and learning activities. The difference is only the method he uses using the internet.”

Furthermore, Zenal also said “Using e-learning overall, we did not encounter any significant difficulties, because previously, in lectures, lecturers also used e-learning systems for the teaching and learning process, so I and other friends were already used to using e-learning. Indeed, I think the UTS method with e-learning is an effective option considering the current corona pandemic.”

“Hopefully the BOC e-learning system will remain intense to use and add more features in it, especially in supporting student academic activities”.

According to Yogi Firmansyah, one of the UBP students, “Online lectures for the beginning may still be a bit difficult for many students because this is a new method that is applied. Likewise, I was a little confused at first that there was an absence in e-learning because there was no notification from the e-learning which caused it to be absent. However, for this online method, it is a new lesson for us in the future, by following the development of an increasingly sophisticated era.”

According to Dia ayu puspitasari, one of the students of UBP Karawang, “The new UTS experience is online using UBP e-learning. Alhamdulilah, it went smoothly, although there were a few obstacles in its implementation but it could still be anticipated well. Hopefully in the future the BOC system can be even better.”
