Saturday, January 11, 2020, the Faculty of Law, Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang, held a seminar on Challenges and Strategies of the Republic of Indonesia in facing Radicalism in a Positive Legal Perspective at Swissbel Hotel Karawang. This activity was attended by 300 participants, most of whom were students of the Faculty of Law. Then this activity was also attended by the Chairperson of the Regency DPRD. Karawang, Polres, Head of the Karawang Correctional Institution, BNN, Kodim and Karawang Regional Government.
The purpose of the activity is for students to gain insight and knowledge about what radicalism is and at the same time a declaration that the Faculty of Law, Buana Perjuangan University, Karawang rejects radicalism.
According to Muhammad Gary Gagarin, SH., MH, the Head of the Law Faculty Study Program, “It feels very extraordinary because the speakers of the event are from professional circles such as Prof. Dr. Nandang Sambas, S.H.M.H. (criminal law expert), Dr. Margarito Kamis, S.H.M.Hum (HTN expert), Chairil Anwar, S.H. (Head of Sub-Directorate for Supervision of BNPT), Kamaludin (Ex-Terrorism Convict), and Prof. Rachmat (Ketum MUI West Java)”.
