‘MULTITALENT PHARMACEUTICAL PROFESSION’
The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Buana Perjuangan Karawang, on Thursday, November 28, 2019 at the Rectorate Building Hall, 3rd floor, held a Public Lecture by presenting resource persons Hendra Farma Johar, M.Si, Apt. and guided by Dedy Frianto, S.Far., M.M., Apt. Public lectures are routine activities that are held to build an academic atmosphere in the UBP Karawang Campus which not only prioritizes compulsory lectures in the classroom.
The activity which was opened by Neni Sri Gunarti, M.Si, Apt. as the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, UBP Karawang, carries the theme “Multitalent Pharmacy Profession”. The public lecture activity presented 250 students and a number of lecturers and staff within the Faculty of Pharmacy, UBP Karawang. Hendra Farma Johar who has a long and proud track record in the field of pharmaceutical work since joining PT Kimia Farma has made him an inspiring pharmacist. His career started in 1997 as an intern pharmacist at Apotek KF No. 45 Surabaya, and has carried out pharmaceutical work in the fields of pharmaceutical marketing, pharmacy management, industry, clinical laboratories, and is also active in teaching at various universities.
Hendra Farma Johar, who is now the CEO of Kimia Farma Dawaa Mecca based in Saudi Arabia, explained to the public lecture participants how the prospects for pharmacy work in the next 5 (five) years to become professional health workers. On the same occasion he also shared his experiences and encouraged students to get to know their basic values. According to him, there is no true success without sticking to our basic values. He added that the character/way of thinking, competence, and the ability to work with competitors (coopetition) contribute to bringing someone to the gate of success. [himyatul h.]
