The corona virus is currently very disturbing people. The spread of this virus is so fast, especially in Indonesia that currently dozens of people have died from being infected with this virus that originally came from China. Anticipating the spread of the corona virus, people are advised to wash their hands frequently with soap, or use hand sanitizer. Unfortunately, the presence of hand sanitizers on the market is very rare. Even in mini markets, it is difficult to find, this condition makes people more nervous.
To meet the needs of the community. Students of Universitas Buana Perjuangan (UBP) Karawang make hand sanitizers and then distribute them to the public at a number of points. “Thank God, today we can share a little with others,” said UBP Pharmacy student, Aeni Indriyati, Sunday (22/3).
According to him, at least 30 students from his campus participated in the action yesterday morning. He himself admitted that he was happy to be able to provide benefits to others in the midst of public concern, especially lately hand sanitizer is difficult to find on the market. “I feel proud and happy,” he said.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy UBP Neni Sri Gunarti, conveyed that the hand sanitizer made by students was in accordance with WHO standards. Previously, the liquid, commonly called hand sanitizer, was only made and used for campus circles. “This is the first time to coincide with Isra Mikraj, we collaborate with the Sweet Shodaqah Foundation to carry out community service activities by distributing 1,200 hand sanitizers to the community, mosques and Islamic boarding schools in Karawang,” he concluded.
